Been a few days...

It's been a few days since I last posted and really the only reason for that is I pretty much have nothing to post! I've been grinding out these 1 table sngs trying to get comfortable with them and I must say it's been difficult. Variance hasn't quite been on my side, I'm just shy if break even. I'm looking forward to Sunday's session with JoJo as he made himself a nice living playing nothing but those.

I'm hoping to see Angels & Demons sometime this weekend, I'll probably post a review if i get the chance to see it. At any rate, sorry this was dull, hopefully I'll have something good to report back here shortly!

Blah

Quick update folks...

Today was kind of ho-hum, decided to play some sngs when I got up, ended up playing in 10 of them, nothing really exciting happened I came in 2nd in 1 and 3rd in 2. I bubbled 2 of them, which was upsetting, I need to cash in those to make it profitable, oh well small sample size I guess.

I played in the two early doubles, horribly I, just wasn't able to get anything going. I then played the $1 rebuy 10k guaranteed and had a nice stack for a while, when we were about 4 hours in and ~50 from the money when I lost with my kk<88, the obvious 8 on the flop, gg me.

I finally cashed in something when i finished 172nd (lol) in the Daily Double B. Good feeling not to have an 0-fer, During that tourney I played a few $3 90 man tournaments, and came in 5th in one making it a profitable day for me, not much, but can't win them all.

Gonna get some sleep, sorry this was boring, hopefully I'll make a nice run in the next couple of days to talk about!

Positive thoughts!

Weekend update...

Hey hey...

Well here I am at the beginning of a new week and this past weekend was a good time...

Started off taking a road trip to Cincinnati with some some friends, nothing too exciting, went to the bars and caught up, always good to do that. Saturday we came home and i played a little bit, moderate success for the short period of time I played and then headed out for a bit with a few more friends and came home and crashed.

Sunday was kind of sad as it was mother's day, and I was away from my mother. I sent her a card that I hope she liked and called her a couple times... I hope she knows how important she is to me and that I would not be much of anything without her.. :) <3 mom

Went to my aunt's house however to hang out with dad's side of the family, and that is always a good time, whenever I get the chance to hang around family I'm pretty happy... good food good times...

My cousin JoJo and I made plans for me to head to his house later that evening... He's been absolutely crushing cash games for a while now and I know I could learn a lot from him...

Headed over there around 8:30 and fired up a few tournaments together, I ran deep in 2 of the 4 I played but ended up basically bubbling them both, kind of disappointing, but it happens, just pretty card dead... overall I was happy with my play and that's what matters...

We set up my cash game software called Poker Tracker, I've never really used it before but he says it's made an amazing difference in his game and I trust him...

Played a few cash games while he finished up the 2 tourneys he was in, no real success more just getting used to the software, as he can attest i just ran bad, small sample though.

I'm ready for a great week of grinding and continuing to apply for jobs, haven't had much luck yet on the job front, but I'm still staying positive. I'm sure the right opportunity will present itself.

Big day ahead, I will update later... Bye!

Woooooooooooooooooot!!!!!!!

Awesome!!

I was having a pretty shitty day... started out by losing about $50 playing cash.... took some rough ones i won't bore you with...

Then I decided to play a few mtts and bubbled them all it seemed... so I took a break and made a sandwich, and saw a satellite tournament to the Fifty-Fifty tournament was about to start so i figured i would give it a try... finished in the top 14 out of 150 or so and won a $55 seat to the tournament for $6, can't beat that!

Decided i didn't want to play the 50/50 so i unregistered and took the money instead... and at the last minute joined the $6.50 super turbo knockout tournament... and....

SHIPPOPOTAMUS!!!!! I took it down....

won $1000.80 for my efforts and another $15 because you get $1 for every person you eliminate...

I feel great right now! I accomplished 2 of my goals in one shot, $1k bankroll and I won a tournament!

Thanks for reading... I'm going to relax and watch some tv now

News the way it was meant to be

Progress

Today i decided I would try and put in a few tournaments, and I did alright considering I haven't played too many lately...

Ended up cashing in 2 of the 4 i played... should've legitimately cashed in all 4 but I made some dumb mistakes that I recognized instantly... I need to stop bluffing when I don't need to... sometimes I am just retarded...

I finished the night playing 1 table of cash and ended up on the day with the bankroll now sitting at $390... not bad... I decided to set some goals for myself, to keep myself motivated... here they are:

-Play at least 50 mtts during the month of May
-Make at least 2 final tables (my fields are normally pretty small)
-Win a tournament
-Play at least 10k hands of cash
-Do not play when I have been drinking or feel tired
-Build bankroll to $1000
-Play 100 sngs
-Play my best at all times

I know this is a large amount of volume... but gotta do something while the job hunt is on... some of them may seem far fetched, increasing my bankroll by 150% is a lot, but hey, it's my goal...

I'm going to start posting significant hands but I'm too tired right now so we will have to live...

Have a good night everyone :)
